I was observed.

I had been dreading today because I needed to meet with my principal to be evaluated. Every other year we are observed by an administrator as we teach, and the person writes down everything we say and do. I have been teaching 20 years and feel really confident in my "second home," room 1212, but this is a new principal -- and my last evaluator was a former English teacher and loved everything I did. I just did NOT feel comfortable with this new person, and as personalities go, we don't have similar outlooks...so, I did not want to have this experience. 8:30 came, time for our meeting. I "found my center," squared my shoulders, and walked with a peaceful feeling up to her office. Voila. It went wonderfully. It was pleasant. She saw all the good things I had hoped she would see and I was able to use my Win Friends and Influence People manners. The only thing that makes me angry now is that I wasted 4 days worrrying about this.
